GNAW- A- BLES (noun):

Pieces emphasized by texture, soft contrast, with subjects best described as ‘the proclivities of a young toddler.’ Primarily done with crayon, or dried-up markers.

Basically, it’s the kind of art you would guess was made by someone who chews on his own writing utensils, or his foot.
