Self Portrait - April 2023

$10.00

I drew this portrait the day after I broke my right wrist (my dominant one) from a rollerblading accident in a Star Market parking lot. Without years of technique built into the hand on my body that I would now be forced to spend the next two months writing with, in great pain, and full of spite, I sat down in front of my mirror with some markers and card stock, and put this down entirely with my left hand. I think it's noticeable. Granted, I was not in the best mood when I created this portrait, so the self-talk probably wasn't stellar, but I will admit: no dominant hand could have more accurately captured the sheer annoyance of my current circumstances.
